PRICE

$5/child run fee + $0.50 SignUp fee

Parents don’t need to pay to do the Kids Run if running/walking with their child(ren).

RUN DETAILS

The 0.38 mile course (0.61 km) is a quick loop around the soccer field near the main start/finish area.

This race is not timed. Children who wish to be timed should enter the 5K Run Walk (see below).

A parent/guardian must be present at all times. This is not a drop-off event.

All kids will receive a participant ribbon and goodie bag that includes a Kids Run event T-shirt.

The race will be held “rain or shine.” No refunds for inclement weather or any other reason including injuries, personal emergencies, etc.

The Kids Run is not intended for participants to be in a stroller. The course is on the grass and the terrain will not be conducive to being in a stroller. Strollers are allowed in the 5K Run Walk (see below).

Additional Information:

All participants run or walk at their own risk. Persons should be properly trained prior to attempting any timed run event. Those walking are welcome to participate but must finish the course in 1 hour and 15 minutes. If anyone has not finished within that time, the public roads will be opened and they must obey all traffic laws. Aid station(s) and the finish area may be closed and they may not receive an official finish time and/or other race amenities.
T-shirts and medals for the 5K run/walk will be guaranteed to the first 750 registrants by a cutoff date. We will communicate the cutoff date in advance. Late registrants may be mailed their shirt after the event is concluded.

The race will be held “rain or shine.”

RACE BENEFICIARY

Proceeds from the Concord California Turkey Trot benefit Loaves and Fishes of Contra Costa.

Their mission is to provide community based food programs and partner services that focus on basic needs.
